ON-LINE ENTRIES SOUGHT FOR HANNIBAL BICENTENNIAL LOGO CONTEST

In 2019 the City of Hannibal will celebrate its 200th Anniversary with a year-long series of special events and culminating in a community-wide celebration, held in partnership with the City of Hannibal, Hannibal Convention & Visitors Bureau, local organizations and businesses.

The Hannibal Bicentennial Committee, a group of community leaders, invites the community to design Hannibal’s Bicentennial logo. The winning Bicentennial logo will potentially be used for marketing materials including social media, websites, newspaper, magazine, and TV ads as well as merchandising items. The winning logo could even possibly be seen worldwide!

The logo contest is being coordinated by the Hannibal Arts Council in conjunction with the Hannibal Bicentennial Committee. The entry deadline is November 1, 2017. The contest is open anyone age 8 and up. Do not have to be a Hannibal resident to enter. All submitted pieces must be original and should feature an iconic Hannibal-related image(s) such as landmarks, river scenes, street scenes, Mark Twain, etc. Entries should focus on the image only, but may also include text such as Hannibal’s Bicentennial, 1819-2019, Hannibal MO, etc. Paintings, drawings, computer-generated designs and other two-dimensional art forms are acceptable as long as they meet the contest guidelines.
