Dorian named interim city manager

The Hannibal City Council voted in a special closed meeting Tuesday to name Andy Dorian as the interim city manager.

Lisa Peck has resigned from her position and will take over as city manager in Salem, Ill.

Dorian will also continue his duties as director of Central Services, which includes parks, streets, airport and department of public works.

City officials expressed gratitude that Dorian is available to help lead the city during this time of the election, budgeting and major projects and will make a decision later about long-term appointments.

Dorian started working for the city of Hannibal in 2007, he began as Parks & Recreation director in 2010 and started serving as director of Central Services in 2019.
