Hannibal Convention & Visitors Bureau director named

Trisha O’Cheltree has been named director of the Hannibal Convention & Visitors Bureau. She is taking over the position from Megan Rapp, who had worked at the HCVB for 14 years.

She begins the job on Wednesday, Oct. 4. She said, “I am beyond excited to serve the city of Hannibal as the Tourism Director.  I look forward to promoting Hannibal and all we have to offer. “

O’Cheltree has been serving as event manager for the Historic Hannibal Marketing Council for the past seven months and helped plan and implement the Twain on Main festival and other major downtown events along with completing the administrative duties of the downtown merchants’ organization.

She has a business administration degree and master’s of business administration with an emphasis in management from Lindenwood University.

O’Cheltree has been accounts receivable manager for Bleigh Ready Mix for the past few years. Prior to that she has served as digital sales manager and account executive for media organizations.

She has been active in the Jaycees for years, serving as president of the St. Charles chapter, president of the state chapter and program manager and vice president of the national chapter. She is currently an advisor for the Missouri Jaycees and an active member of the Hannibal Jaycees. She has been a member of the Hannibal Parks & Recreation advisory board since 2017.
