REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS

The City of Hannibal invites interested parties to submit a Statement of Qualifications for an Engineering Firm to assist the City in drafting specifications for the remodel of Fire Station 1 in Hannibal, MO 63401.

The remodel will include;

  • The potential addition of a second story to add more space
  • New dormitory
  • New restrooms
  • New office space
  • Kitchen upgrades
  • HVAC replacement
  • Bay floor drain replacement
  • Renovation of parking lot, outside stairs and retaining wall
  • Additional items

Scope of Work:
The selected firm will be responsible for:

    • Site assessment and structural evaluation
    • Hazardous materials identification (e.g., asbestos, lead) and abatement
    • Environmental and regulatory compliance
    • Preparation of specifications as well as biding and construction administration services
    • Permitting assistance
    • Budget Development

Qualification Packets
The Qualification Packets should contain the following information:

  1. Statement of Qualifications, including Main Office Location and Staffing: In this section, please describe your agency’s qualifications, main office and staffing with specific regard to those resources which would be available for the successful completion of this project. (Personnel names, titles and contact information) Please be sure to list the qualifications of the specific personnel who will be working on this project.
  2. Experience with Similar Project(s): In this section, Respondent is to describe successful projects of similar content and scope.
  3. Client Listing: List of clients with name, address, telephone number and contact name for reference purposes.
  4. Additional Information: Respondent may provide any other information the firm deems helpful or appropriate. This section is not mandatory and may be left blank.

SELECTION CRITERIA
Selection of an engineering firm will be made using a qualifications-based selection process. Following are the selection criteria that will be used to determine qualifications of the consultant:

Submissions will be evaluated based on:

  • Relevant experience and technical expertise (30%)
  • Qualifications of proposed team (25%)
  • Project understanding and approach (25%)
  • References and past performance (20%)

  • Shortlisted firms may be invited for interviews or presentations.
  • The City of Hannibal reserves the right to reject any or all submissions.
