Improvements to Riverview Park will be the focus of a public forum at 6 pm. on Jan. 11 in the City Council chambers of City Hall.
Planning Design Studio, a landscape architecture firm dedicated to creating exceptional outdoor spaces, is working on a master plan for a Riverview Park renovation. The plan will identify a vision for the future of the park and create a roadmap for implementation of that vision.
Community input is critical to forming the vision of the park. Andy Dorian, director of Central Services, encourages anyone who wants to share their ideas to attend. “A presentation on the project will be provided at the start of the meeting, followed by an opportunity to offer input and comments which will assist the City in developing a Master Plan.”
He said the master plan would have components including the entryway, vegetation, tree planting, erosion issues, signage, evaluation of overlooks, passive nature trails and improvements to the shelter/playground.
